DOÑA PAULA ASUNCIÓN RICARDO, a restaurant industry veteran with many years
of experience, has enjoyed the process of connecting with the community through her first food cart, Mixteca Catering. She still frequents the farmers markets where Mixteca Catering first appeared and enjoys sharing her Oaxacan heritage and culture with her customers.

As the Mixteca slogan, “Experience Oaxaca,” suggests, Doña Paula hopes to preserve and share traditional recipes. To get started, she recommends trying the tamales and moles. In Oaxacan culture moles are typically reserved for special occasions, so you can take your taste buds on an adventure anytime.
